Last week I watched Patrick Meaney’s Chris Claremont’s X-Men documentary. Here are a few of the things that I learned from that experience.
One: Claremont always asks is there any reason this character can’t be female?
Two: Intersperse issues with a focus on character.
Three: Don’t make a prison of your own making.
Four: Make the story about the character’s lives—not just their adventures.
